  • Hand-forged curved blade with Bohi (groove) and Chu-Kissaki tip. Carbon steel 1095. Diferential hardness achieved through the traditional differential clay tempering technique.The hardness of the Mune is 43 HRC and of the Ha (blade edge) is 60° HRC Rockwell. The blade spine is iori-mune, the edge is without Niku, ideal for Tameshigiri. (cutting sharp blade).

  • Brass, hand polished. Dragonfly shape. One each side, traditional mounting of menuki.
